Submitting XML Files to RSS Feed Directories

RSS feeds are capable of doing wonders from an SEO perspective. First of all, it's possible for you to create an RSS feed using an article, profile links and a host of other things, and then you can submit these feeds to directories which will in turn help them get noticed and indexed by the major search engines. The RSS Bot of these search engines will do all the work from then on. One of the main issues however is that it's not possible for you to submit an XML files to these directories designed for RSS feeds. So what is the workaround?

There are quite a few methods that you can use to get around this issue. The first thing that you can do is create your own feeds. I suggest you log into ice rocket by creating a new account. Once you have logged in, all you have to do is create a channel and then create links within this new channel. Once you have finished creating your links, all you have to do is click on the publish button and your feed will be created.

If your link list is fairly large, then it's likely it will take you some time. Another method that you can use to turn your XML file into an RSS feed is by updating it using your hosting account. This method is capable of creating an RSS feed in your browser, which in turn will allow you to submit the feed to these RSS directories.

You can use either method, the main issue is the amount of URLs that you have, and what you intend to use the feed for. If you would like your feed to feature your own domain, then all you are required to do is update the XML file through your hosting. However, if you're not too fussy, then you can always use RSS Rocket to create the feed for you.
