 | The LA Housing Department used EECBG funds to upgrade its multifamily housing properties. Upgrades included things like energy efficient lighting, newer, more efficient air conditioning units, insulating windows, Energy Star refrigerators, washing machines, clothes dryers, and water-saving faucet nozzles and shower heads. These changes prompted teens at Casa Heiwa, one of the properties, to create a program to educate their parents and other residents about how to save money and the environment by using even less energy.
